Envivio, Inc. (ENVI) Announces Integration with Adobe Primetime

Envivio, a prominent supplier of live and on-demand multi-screen video processing software solutions, announced that it has finished integrating with the industry’s most advanced video publishing and monetization platform for programmers and pay TV service providers, Adobe® Primetime. Envivio will be displaying the Evivio Halo™ at NAB 2013 booth #SU6202. The Envivio Halo™ network media processor performs live content packaging in the Adobe HTTP Dynamic Streaming (HDS) format, while encrypting with Adobe Primetime DRM.

Envivio video processing and encoding systems can be used in parallel with Adobe Primetime to deliver and monetize a superior, TV-like viewing experience across several interconnected devices. Primetime smoothly incorporates Adobe’s video publishing, player, DRM, advertising , and analytics solutions, removing the complexity of interacting with audiences across multiple screens and maximizing advertising and pay TV revenue, while delivering the best digital video experience on the market. Primetime’s interoperable components have the flexibility to be deployed together as a comprehensive solution for the entire workflow, or individually to meet specific infrastructure requirements.

“We are committed to helping our customers deliver advanced video services to any screen, which means not only delivering pristine video but also secure video, supporting targeted ad insertion and alternate content management,” said Arnaud Perrier, vice president of solutions for Envivio. “Adobe Primetime is a comprehensive offering for multi-screen video delivery, and Envivio’s software-based products are fully integrated with it to enable these services.”

“Envivio offers flexible encoding, packaging and processing solutions that provide high quality video across platforms,” said Ashley Still, director, product management at Adobe. “Our collaboration ensures service providers can deliver their services to any Web-connected device in a secure manner using Adobe Primetime’s DRM solution, and fully monetize broadcast content with the full Primetime platform.”

Envivio Muse™ software-based encoders deliver a high-quality, all-digital live or file-based workflow for MPEG-2, MPEG-4 AVC (H.264), and adaptive streaming formats that fits new and existing environments and simplifies OPEX/CAPEX with a converged multi-screen architecture. Envivio Halo packages, encrypts, stores, and distributes video streams for TV Everywhere and TV Anytime services. Halo NMPs offer massive network capacity savings, increase the flexibility of multi-screen operations, and enable time-shifted applications such as catch-up TV, start-over TV, nPVR, and targeted ad insertion.
