Molecular diagnostics
company CombiMatrix Corporation announced it has entered into a contractual
agreement with Texas-based Galaxy Health Network for coverage of CombiMatrix’s
diagnostic laboratory services.
Based in Arlington, Texas,
Galaxy Health Network has a provider base that includes more than 400,000
directly contracted physicians, 2,700 hospitals, and 47,000 ancillary providers.
The network’s member base currently encompasses more than 3.5 million covered
members who now have access to CombiMatrix’s suite of molecular diagnostic
solutions and comprehensive clinical support, with specialization in prenatal,
miscarriage, and pediatric healthcare.
Partnering with Galaxy gives
CombiMatrix an additional opportunity to broaden its payor geographic reach,
further expanding the company’s presence throughout the U.S. and providing much
broader access to its full portfolio of testing services, including the
CombiSNP chromosomal microarray test.
The partnership also enables
CombiMatrix and Galaxy to work together in educating physicians in the Galaxy
network about the benefits of chromosomal microarray testing. CombiMatrix
believes its services are vital for important health networks like Galaxy.
