Cbeyond was recognized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) for communication excellence at the 2013 Golden Flame Awards. The Golden Flame Awards are IBAC’s highest honor. They acknowledge merit for form, function, process and creativity, and most importantly, measured results.

The company’s CMO, Paul Carmody, accepted the 2013 TAG Social Savvy Award on Cbeyond’s behalf for the Best Vision for Alignment category. Cbeyond was honored for its alignment of marketing communications and business recruiting. TAG also recognized the company as a finalist for the B2B CMO Marketer of the Year, and as a finalist for Public Relations Marketer of the Year.

A few days later, on November 7, Cbeyond was named winner of the Social Media Marketer of the Year categories of the 4th annual Tech Marketing Awards. These awards recognize individuals whose ingenuity, efforts, leadership, and foresight in marketing technology have made a significant contribution and positive impact within their own company.

The following week, Carmody was named a finalist in the 2013 Atlanta Telecom Professional Awards in the “Technology/Service Provider” category. The award recognizes leaders at companies that create or innovate with communications technology.

“As a part of Cbeyond’s ‘Year of Good to Great’, our internal and external communications and community affairs teams have raised the bar to represent and build our brand within employee, customer and local communities nationwide,” said Carmody. “We have an outstanding team here at Cbeyond and appreciate the creativity and passion for excellence these industry-leading awards represent.”
