Vitesse Semiconductor, a leading provider of advanced IC solutions for Carrier and Enterprise networks, announced that its VeriTime™ chipset was chosen as a finalist for the 2013 China Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Awards in the Product of the Year, Mixed Signal Controller/Processor/SoC category. The nominated chipset is comprised of SynchroPHY™ 1 Gigabit Ethernet (GE), 10GE and 10GE OTN PHYs, and Carrier Ethernet Switch Engines, which makes use Vitesse’s IEEE1588v2 LTE-Advanced-ready VeriTime technology.
Organized by Global Sources, the China ACE Awards honor the technologies, companies, and people that shape innovative electronics design in mainland China. Qualified by the ACE Award Committee, which consists of media editors and industry experts, award winners are selected via an online voting process from design engineers. The China ACE Awards received over 300 entries from international and domestic semiconductor and test companies doing business in mainland China during 2012.
The winners are to be announced during the International IC China Conference & Exhibition 2013 at an evening event set to take place on March 1, 2013, in Shenzhen, China.
“We are honored that our technology innovations are gaining industry recognition,” commented Uday Mudoi, product marketing director at Vitesse. “Vitesse is committed to specifically addressing service provider needs in bringing Gigabit broadband connectivity to mobile networks.”
Vetisse’s VeriTime chipset was also recently announced as a finalist for the Carrier Ethernet APAC 2012 Awards and the LTE North America 2012 Awards. Multiple OEM platforms that utilize the VeriTime chipset were named winners in several categories at both events.
