Domark International today said that its wholly owned Solawerks subsidiary anticipates its “Solapad” solar and battery system for all versions of the Apple iPad to hit the market in less than 30 days.
Domark says purchase orders for the Solapad product are already exceeding their first production schedule.
Taking into consideration the fact that Apple recently reported selling two and a half times as many iPads vs. a year-ago quarter, Domark said it believes the Solapad product is positioned for impressive demand.
Solawerks, a newly formed subsidiary of Domark, is focused on the development of the Solapad, as well as the Solafire, a combined cover and charging system for Amazon’s Kindle Fire; and the Solacase, a combined cover and charging system for all versions of Apple’s iPhone.
All three products are equipped with a large, high-efficiency solar panel on their back in addition to an extra internal battery to keep the associated unit charged at all times.
