ShoreTel, Inc. (SHOR) Announces New Remote Monitoring Service

Today, ShoreTel, the leading provider of cloud-based business phone systems and communication solutions, announced ShoreTel Remote Monitoring, a remote monitoring service. The system proactively monitors any ShoreTel IP PBX products present on a customer’s premise, verifies availability, and expedites the response process for repairing any events associated with ShoreTel products.

The system was designed to simplify the support process and provide operational efficiencies, allowing customers to spend less time managing communications and more time focused on their core business initiatives. ShoreTel Remote Monitoring automatically notifies the company’s support team of any issues that may arise during installation, and provides monitoring services for all 365 days of the year. Remote Monitoring will be available for ordering by the end of the month and can be used by new and existing customers.

“The great thing about this service is that it moves support and problem response out in front of the end-user experience,” said Don Joos, ShoreTel’s vice president of global services. “System events and notifications can provide information for action before an end user experiences any problem. With this service it is possible to fix issues before they are even noticed.”

ShoreTel utilizes a management system to collect and interpret data in a format that can be utilized by the ShoreTel Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and/or ShoreTel Certified Resellers. The Service is scalable for supporting multiple customers and devices while securing access for each customer.
