Leading provider of advanced IC solutions for Carrier and Enterprise networks, Vitesse Semiconductor, announced that Vitesse veteran, Uday Mudoi, has been recruited to the position of vice president of product marketing. In this position Mudoi will oversee global execution of Vitesse’s market strategy for all product lines and will report directly to Vitesse’s chief executive officer, Chris Gardner.
“Uday’s experience makes him ideal to lead Vitesse’s global product marketing initiatives,” stated CEO of Vitesse, Chris Gardner. “He has been instrumental in orchestrating Vitesse’s transition to Ethernet for both Carrier and Enterprise markets, significantly driving our new product revenue and market share growth. Uday has also been pivotal in the definition; launch and design win traction for Vitesse’s Ethernet Switch Engines and SynchroPHYs™ that feature our VeriTime™, ViSAA™ and Intellisec™ technologies. I am very confident about Uday’s ability to amplify these organizational successes in his new role.”
Mudoi has almost two decades of experience in the communications and semiconductor industries, of which includes Siemens, Oralogic, and 13 years at Vitesse. He will use his expertise in Carrier and Enterprise to grow the company’s new product portfolio and further increase market penetration in the Ethernet-based mobile access, wired and wireless backhaul, and cloud access markets.
Mudoi holds a bachelor’s of science degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. In addition he holds two master’s degrees, one in the area of computer engineering from North Carolina State University and the other in business administration from Columbia University.
