China Sunergy, a specialized manufacturer of solar cells and modules, today held a large promotional event in Bangkok, Thailand. The company introduced its high-efficiency QSAR modules to officials from the Thailand Provincial Electrical Authority, local banks, customers, and investors, including well-known local EPCs and distributors.
The event coincided with the high profile International Exhibition of Environmental Protection and Pollution Control Technology. This event takes place in Bangkok and attracts government officials and executives of major international corporations, as well as exhibitors from more than 20 countries. Dr. Jianhua Zhao, CTO of China Sunergy, delivered a presentation at the event introducing the company’s QSAR modules and recent technological developments.
Thailand has a national solar target of installing 2GW by 2020, as well as a renewable energy generation target of 25 percent of all energy by 2021, making Thailand a market with great potential for companies like China Sunergy. China Sunergy’s high-efficiency solar modules have shown superior temperature co-efficiency performance when tested by Photon Laboratory, resulting in a lower efficiency loss even in high temperature climates. This is particularly ideal for markets like Thailand.
In consideration of macroeconomic and industry uncertainties, China Sunergy continues further diversifying its sales into emerging markets with promising growth opportunities, like Thailand, Japan, and China.
China Sunergy began commercial production of QSAR modules in October 2011. During 2012’s first quarter, the conversion efficiency rate of QSAR cells reached a batch average of 19.1 percent, with the highest rate being 19.4 percent. QSAR modules are among China Sunergy’s most advanced high power output products, and the company’s cutting-edge technology improves high conversion efficiency, simplifies the production process, reduces operation links, and narrows the distribution of conversion efficiency.
China Sunergy manufactures solar cells from silicon wafers, which utilize crystalline silicon solar cell technology to convert sunlight into electricity through a process called the photovoltaic effect. The company additionally assembles solar cells into solar modules. China Sunergy sells it solar products to module manufacturers, system integrators, and solar power systems both overseas and in China. These entities use the company’s products in various markets.
