I.D. Systems (IDSY) Receives $800,000 Order from Fortune 100 Company to Expand Wireless VMS Deployment

Leading wireless M2M asset management solutions provider I.D. Systems announced it has received a series of purchase orders valued at more than $800,000 to deploy its PowerFleet wireless vehicle management system (VMS) on fleets of lift trucks at multiple distribution centers for a Fortune 100 company. I.D. Systems will have deployed its wireless VMS technology in more than 20 of the end user’s facilities after implementation.

Vehicle management systems aid in improving workplace safety and security by allowing only trained, authorized operators to access vehicles; providing electronic vehicle inspection checklists; and sensing vehicle impacts. Additionally, a wireless VMS helps reduce fleet maintenance costs by automatically uploading vehicle data, electronically reporting vehicle problems, scheduling maintenance by actual usage rather than time passage, and helping determine optimal economic time for replacing equipment. A wireless VMS also helps improve supply chain productivity by creating accountability for equipment use, affirming that equipment is in the proper place at the proper time, streamlining material that is handling workflow, and supplying unique metrics on utilization of equipment.

One of I.D. Systems’ channel partners generated the orders with the Fortune 100 company, and I.D. Systems looks forward to continuing the growth of its business with this end user and also with its strategic channel partner.
