Local Corp. (LOCM) Announces Record High for Mobile and Organic Quarterly Search Traffic
Local Corp., a leading online media company that aims to connect traditional businesses with over a million online and mobile consumers each day, announced the company’s record breaking high for mobile and organic search traffic during the third quarter 2012. Local is reporting a 10 percent increase, reaching over 101 million total monthly unique visitors (MUVs) during the third quarter of 2012, up from 92 million the year prior.
A large focus for Local is mobile traffic, which this year represented over 25.5 million of the reported MUVs, an increase of an astounding 274 percent from the 6.6 million MUVs reported the previous year.
Local also saw an increase in organic traffic, which the company reported comprised 39 million MUVs, up 34% from 29 million MUVs the year prior.
“Traffic growth is a key performance indicator for our business and these records, specifically related to mobile and organic traffic, represent major milestones for our business,” said Heath Clarke, Local Corporation, chairman and chief executive officer. “We continue to make significant progress in growing our overall ecosystem, including traffic, technology and advertisers.”
