Frontier Communications Corp. (FTR) Rolls Out Bundled AT&T Mobile Wireless Voice and Data Services Deal for Customers in Select Markets
Frontier Communications, the rural America-focused provider of a wide variety of broadband, voice, data security, satellite TV, and wireless Internet solutions via their 100% U.S.-based workforce of some 15.4k employees across 27 states, reported another great bundle deal for customers today (something FTR specializes in), with select markets gaining access to bundled mobile voice and data services covering a huge array of AT&T smartphones, tablets, and applications, all through AT&T’s mobile broadband network (the biggest 4G network in the country).
This is a real winner for the company’s customers, who can now bundle the AT&T wireless service into their Frontier package, resulting in a significant overall discount. Customers can now switch off from their cellular plan to using Frontier Home Wi-Fi with their intelligent networked devices to save big, in addition to pulling data over the massive, high-speed AT&T network that boasts a whopping 29k plus Wi-Fi Hot Spots throughout the county, instead of through costly cellular networks.
Today’s announcement is part of the three-year agency agreement between AT&T Mobility and Frontier announced back in November of 2011. The announcement further applies the benefits of AT&T’s mobile broadband network to FTR’s bundled deals approach to satisfying their huge customer base, which ranges from home office and small businesses, on up to much larger businesses, all of whom will appreciate the convenience of getting everything lumped together into one service package with only one bill to pay.
President of Emerging Enterprises and Partnerships for the world renowned AT&T’s Mobility division, Glenn Lurie, was very pleased that FTR, the biggest communications services company focused on rural America today, chose AT&T to provide mobile solutions to their clients. Lurie emphasized the vast and growing assortment of smartphones, tablets, and applications customers will gain access to as a result of the offering and marveled at the way in which wireless technology continues to be a transformative force in the lives of people all over the world, something he argued would only increase proportionally alongside AT&T’s own continued upgrading of the network backbone, as well as their product lineup.
President of Frontier Mobile and On-Network Video, Don Banowetz, underscored the money that would be saved by customers who can now say goodbye to costly cellular plan overage charges, adding that access to the best wireless coverage worldwide of any U.S. carrier via universally trusted provider AT&T, which offers the widest selection of wireless phones that function in the most countries on earth, should make the bundle deal nearly irresistible to a large portion of the company’s primary target demographics. A natural partnership really, marrying the broad business communications expertise of FTR, which has an established reputation for great bundle deals, together with the unquestionable might and reach of a global sector leader like AT&T. The net upside for customers and shareholders alike is obvious and investors will no doubt be following the relationship between these two companies closely as it continues to evolve.
