Le Cordon Bleu North America, a division of Career Education Corp. (NASDAQ: CECO) announced that it has a new president, Mr. James Bartholomew. He will be based at Career Education’s Campus Support Center in Schaumburg, IL.
Le Cordon Bleu is one of the world’s largest providers of culinary arts education, with a network of 16 schools in the United States alone. Culinary students receive a hands-on education, studying under a faculty that is dedicated to providing students with the necessary skills, knowledge, support, and guidance to pursue fulfilling careers in the culinary arts.

Based on the core cooking techniques taught at the original school in Paris, the curriculum at Le Cordon Bleu’s United States’ campuses will continue to be overseen by Certified Master Chef Edward Leonard, vice president of culinary education and corporate chef for Le Cordon Bleu Schools in North America.
Bartholomew joins Le Cordon Bleu from Universal Technical Institute (UTI), a nationwide provider of accredited technical training, with a focus on professional automotive and marine professions. In his tenure with UTI, Bartholomew held a variety of roles. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Campus Operations, overseeing operations for all UTI campuses, with revenues of approximately $400 million. He also acted as Regional Vice President, Operations – East and Campus President, in which he drove improvements in student enrollments and retention as well as operational efficiencies.
