American Lorain Corp. (ALN) Receives Two Honorary Awards for Beijing Subsidiary

American Lorain, an international processed snack foods, frozen foods, and convenience foods company based out of Shandong Province, China, announced earlier today that its Beijing subsidiary has received two honorary awards from the Ministry of Science and Technology and Beijing Science and Technology Committee.

Beijing Lorain was awarded with the Beijing Entrepreneurial Center for Scientific Commissioners in March of 2014. Only 5 enterprises in Beijing have received the award given out by MOST (Ministry of Science and Technology). The initial application process began in September of 2013 and marks the first Ministry level award received by Beijing Lorain.

In addition, the Beijing Science and Technology Committee awarded the Beijing International Scientific Cooperation Center to Beijing Lorain in March of 2014. Twelve enterprises received this award under the modern agriculture center category, with Beijing Lorain ranked as number one overall in the category. Beijing Lorain was the only successful applicant from Miyun County, Beijing.

Si Chen, Chairman and CEO of American Lorain stated, “We are very pleased to announce the successful grant of the two honorary awards. These awards further strengthen our corporate image as well as soft power and provide a strong aid to secure government support such as subsidies. We look forward to continued positive developments in our Beijing Subsidiary.”
