Sonus Networks, Inc. (SONS) Announces Expanded Roles of Executive Officers to Drive Transformation

Sonus Networks announced the expanded roles of two Executive Officers, Todd A. Abbott and Jeffrey M. Snider. The roles will support the company’s next phase of transformation and execution of strategy. The roles will be effective as of September 13, 2012.

Abbott, promoted to Executive Vice President of Strategy & Go-To-Market, will add business unit planning and execution responsibilities to his current role guiding sales, marketing, and business development. Since joining Sonus in 2011, Abbott has led the go-to-market transformation, including efforts like the move into the enterprise segment and the company’s first channel activation program, Sonus Partner Assure. The changing role will allow the product offering, promotion, and sales execution of Sonus solutions to accelerate market responsiveness to the communications needs of enterprises and service providers.

Snider’s role added the responsibilities associated with serving as Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, and General Counsel. This expansion will include oversight of human resources as well as facilities management.
