Methes Energies (MEIL) Provides Expertise in All Things Biodiesel

Methes Energies International, a renewable energy company, provides a wide range of products and services to biodiesel fuel producers. Marketing and selling biodiesel fuel to customers in the United States and Canada, Methes also offers various biodiesel fuel solutions to its clients, additionally supplying pioneering biodiesel processors that are compact, provide continuous flow and can operate on a variety of feedstocks.

Among its services, Methes sells commodities to a network of biodiesel producers and sells their biodiesel production. The company provides clients with proprietary software to operate and control their processors and also remotely monitors clients’ production quality and characteristics, providing upgrades and repairs for their processors and advising them on how to adjust processes and implement use of varying feedstock to improve biodiesel quality.

Methes produces biodiesel fuel at its showcase production facility in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, and at its 13 MGY facility in Sombra, Ontario.

Methes Energies Canada, Inc. was founded in 2004 by technical and financial experts. The company was created to capitalize on growing renewable energy demands, rising energy costs and the value of biodiesel as a possible and practical long-term replacement for conventional diesel fuel. The company has been a wholly owned subsidiary of U.S.-based Methes Energies International Ltd. since 2007.

Along with making biodiesel, Methes is committed to extensive R&D efforts and is involved in all aspects of biodiesel engineering, manufacturing, production, logistics, marketing and distribution.

Methes introduced the Denami 600 in 2007, which is the very first compact, fully automated continuous flow biodiesel processor in the industry and can run on a variety of feedstocks. In 2011, the company commissioned a continuous-flow, nonchemical pretreatment processor that converts the free fatty acids (FFA) found in most biodiesel feedstock to less than 1 percent.

Methes is currently in the process of developing cutting-edge biodiesel processors, pretreatment systems and other solutions in order to address biodiesel production challenges. The company is poised for a global expansion, focusing on areas of the world in which there is an increasing need for biodiesel, such as Europe, South America, Asia and Africa.
