TransAct Technologies Inc. (TACT) Paced for Growth with Broad Product Offering, Extensive Distribution Network

Transact Technologies makes market-specific printers for the banking, gaming and lottery, point-of-sale, food safety, oil and gas, medical and mobile sectors. The products are marketed and distributed under the Epic, Ithaca®, BANKjet® and Printrex® brand names.

TransAct Supplies aims to cover every corner of the printing supply market by offering a variety of supplies such as cash register rolls/POS receipts, kitchen slips, guest checks, ATM receipts, paper rolls, printer ribbons, ink jet cartridges, and more.

Hosting services around the world, TransAct allows customers to purchase items online at the company’s website with a selection searchable by part number, name or by type, manufacturer, and model.

The company markets and distributes its impact, thermal, and inkjet printers to original equipment manufacturers (OEMS), value-added resellers and selected distributors, as well as directly to end-users in these markets.

With a deep distribution network, the company has established an extensive customer base throughout the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Caribbean Islands and the South Pacific. As TransAct works to expand its customer base and strengthen its distribution network, it continues to see growth in total revenues.

For the third quarter of 2013 TransAct reported revenues of $16.8 million, as compared with net sales of $15.4 million for the comparable 2012 quarter. The company’s TransAct Services Group recorded net sales of $3.5 million compared to net sales of $3.8 million in the year-ago period.
