Sionix Corp. (SINX) Announces New Asset Controlling Partnership Program

Sionix is a designer of innovative, patented, mobile water treatment systems. The company’s systems can be used in a wide variety of industries, including agriculture, energy, healthcare, and housing.

Sionix yesterday announced its Asset Controlling Partnership (ACP) Program. The purpose of this structure is to create a project-based vehicle for investing in, managing, and operating a particular mobile water treatment system for a specific long-term project. Under this program, Sionix would provide and operate a water treatment system while investors, including customers, fund the operations of the system.

This announcement places an emphasis on the modification to Sionix’s business plan. It will now provide water treatment services rather than insisting that its customers make a large up-front investment in its equipment. This is significant in that now Sionix will have a recurring, long-term source of revenue rather than just a one-time revenue occurrence from the sale of a piece of mobile water treatment equipment. It will also reduce the company’s capital expenditures.

This shift in business strategy also makes sense for the customers in that Sionix’s equipment will now remain under the care of the company’s employees, who best understand the products and the technology. This new business plan will also reduce the need for dilutive financing. This should no doubt please Sionix’s shareholders.
