Smith Micro Software, a
leading provider of wireless and mobility solutions, announced earlier today
that its CommSuite® premium services platform will now include Spanish
transcriptions in its Voicemail-to-Text service. The newly debuted feature has
already been launched on the Sprint network, allowing for subscribers to read
Spanish voicemail messages in text form within the Sprint Visual Voicemail
inbox.
CommSuite is a highly
scalable platform for premium messaging and voice services that allow for
wireless operators to offer both convenient and reliable alternatives to other
overzealous applications. On the Sprint network since 2010, the English
Voicemail-to-Text service has been a great hit. Now Sprint subscribers can have
the option to receive messages transcribed into Spanish or English based on the
language spoken by the caller. Subscribers can quickly read and reply to
voicemail messages at their earliest convenience.

Sprint’s Voicemail-to-Text
service is currently available on a number of Windows 8 mobile phones and on
all Android smartphones.
