FalconStor Software, Inc. (FALC) Announces Herb Siegel as Vice President and General Manager of Sales for the Americas

Market leader in data protection and migration, FalconStor Software announced earlier today the appointment of Herb Siegel to the position of vice president and general manager of sales for the Americas, including North America and Latin America. Siegel holds over 25 years of experience with a focus on enterprise technology sales, working with companies that include Sterling Infosystems, CA Technologies, and ePlus Systems. In addition, his background includes serving as vice president of enterprise business for FalconStor. In his new position Siegel will be responsible for both maintaining and growing the company’s customer base in the Americas, including direct-sales and channel-sales initiatives. Siegel will report directly to the president and CEO, Gary Quinn, and be based at FalconStor’s global corporate headquarters in Melville, NY.

Most recently, Siegel held the role of executive vice president of sales for Sterling Infosystems, where his sales team is credited as being responsible for Sterling being recognized by Crain’s as one of the 50 Fastest Growing Companies in New York City. Before his position at Sterling, Siegel acted as senior vice president of sales and business development for ePlus Inc., a FalconStor channel partner. Prior to ePlus, Siegel has held positions with The Business Acceleration Group, LLC and FalconStor. In addition, Siegel spent 17 years with CA Technologies where he held senior management roles in sales, software development and marketing.

Siegel earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in computer science from Adelphi University.
