Orbit International Corp. (ORBT) Receives Two New Power Supply Equipment Orders Worth $660,000

Orbit International today reported that its Power Group, through its Behlman Electronics Inc. subsidiary, received two order totaling approximately $660,000. This subsidiary manufactures and sells high quality commercial power units, AC power sources, frequency converters, uninterruptible power supplies, and associated analytical equipment inverters.

The first contract, worth about $462,000, is for a modified commercial power supply used by the U.S. Army to aid in the upgrade of avionics mission equipment, software, and firmware for a military helicopter. Behlman received a purchase order for a “first piece” modified standard unit in February and delivered it in June. It now has received this new production order. Deliveries on the order will begin in the fourth quarter of this year and continue through the second quarter of 2014.

The second contract, worth roughly $198,000, is a follow-on order for a COTS power supply used to power a display on a U.S. Navy ship and is part of a system upgrade for an ongoing program. Order delivery is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2014 and continue through the third quarter of next year. Behlman expects to receive similar orders in the not too distant future.

Orbit International’s other division – its Electronics Group – manufactures customized electronic components and subsystems for military and government applications. It also designs and manufactures combat systems and offers system integration and integrated logistics support and documentation control.
