Local Corp. (LOCM) Announces Record 1 Billion Monthly Impressions on Expanded Display Network

Leading online local media company Local Corp. announced yesterday that it served a record 1 billion ad impressions across its display network during December 2011. That’s a 300 percent increase over January 2011.

These record impressions were served across the company’s flagship site, Local.com, which is Local Corp.’s syndication network of more than 1,000 regional media sites; it is also the company’s recently launched display ad network, powering display advertising for third-party Web publishers. When banner ads are served through the system, the company’s display ads generate CPM revenues.

The company launched RAMP by Rovion in November 2011. RAMP is the first automated, cloud-based solution for creating and publishing rich media ads for online and mobile environments that incorporate local product data by Krillion. RAMP is now a part of Local Corp.’s display ad network, enabling publishers, agencies, and the brands they represent to create, deliver, and track customized rich media ad campaigns across multiple environments with a single ad tag. Display is one of Local Corp.’s fastest growing business areas, representing approximately 10 percent of the company’s overall revenue.

Local Corp. specializes in connecting businesses with the online market through a variety of digital marketing products. Some of the company’s services include local rich media, local business and product search, mobile, Web hosting, SEO, social media, and daily deals. One million customers are served each day on Local.com, Spreebird.com, and the company’s network of more than 1,000 regional media sites.
