MissionIRNewsBreaks – Pressure BioSciences Inc. (PBIO) Establishes New Subsidiary, Provides Update on Anticipated Acquisition

Pressure BioSciences (OTCQB: PBIO) has established a wholly owned agrochemicals subsidiary; the subsidiary will be named PBI Agrochem Inc. and is designed to house the announced asset acquisition from Global Agrochemicals Innovator. PBIO previously announced the acquisition of Global Agrochemicals Innovator, a global developer and supplier of environmentally responsible and organically natural agrochemicals, and anticipates completing that transaction in the coming weeks. In addition, PBIO announced that it has purchased specialized, proprietary material worth more than $500,000 to be used to fulfill initial demand for its ecofriendly, agrochemical pest control and growth stimulant products. “We have developed a very aggressive yet realistic plan to expand our business into the eco-friendly agrochemical space, which is currently overflowing with growth opportunities,” said Pressure BioSciences director of marketing and sales John B. Hollister in the press release. “We believe few areas are hotter than eco-friendly agrochemicals, especially those that have been designed to minimize the long-term global environmental impact of persistent or glacially-slow degrading traditional agrochemicals. . . . We look forward with anticipation to the close of the asset acquisition. We believe the line of high-quality, ecofriendly agrochemical products being acquired, when combined with PBI’s technical capabilities and innovative technology platforms, will result in strong product sales with significant revenue from the new agrochemical business sector for PBIO, beginning as soon as this current third quarter of 2021.”

PBIO also noted that it had participated in today’s Emerging Growth Conference. PBIO was one of 11 companies presenting at the conference. PBIO’s president and CEO Richard T. Schumacher led the presentation and provided an overview of the company and its long-term CBD stability and astaxanthin processing breakthroughs using its proprietary Ultra Shear Technology(TM). According to the press release, astaxanthin is one of the world’s most potent antioxidants and can be used in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic, food & beverage, and animal feed industries. Because it is plant oil based, the substance is difficult to absorb, but PBIO’s UST-processed nanoemulsions of astaxanthin oil have the potential to significantly increase its water solubility and bioavailability; in addition, the technology save costs and extends the shelf-life of the substances, which makes more precise dosing possible. The market is estimated to be a billion-dollar industry. PBIO’s UST-processed nanoemulsions of CBD oil in water last more than 14 months of long-term stability, opening up what the company called “explosive growth potential for UST-processed CBD-infused beverages.”

About Pressure BioSciences Inc.

Pressure BioSciences is a leader in the development and sale of innovative, broadly enabling, pressure-based solutions for the worldwide life sciences and other industries. PBIO’s products are based on the unique properties of both constant (i.e., static) and alternating (i.e., pressure cycling technology, or PCT) (“PCT”) hydrostatic pressure. PCT is a patented enabling technology platform that uses alternating cycles of hydrostatic pressure between ambient and ultra-high levels to control biomolecular interactions safely and reproducibly (e.g., cell lysis, biomolecule extraction). The company’s primary focus is the development of PCT-based products for biomarker and target discovery, drug design and development, biotherapeutics characterization and quality control, soil and plant biology, forensics and counter-bioterror applications. Additionally, major new market opportunities have emerged in the use of the company’s pressure-based technologies in the following areas: (1) the use of PBIO’s recently acquired, patented technology from BaroFold Inc. to allow entry into the biopharma contract services sector and (2) the use of PBIO’s recently patented, scalable, high-efficiency, pressure-based Ultra Shear Technology (“UST”) platform to create stable nanoemulsions of otherwise immiscible fluids (e.g., oils and water) and to prepare higher-quality, homogenized, extended shelf-life or room-temperature, stable, low-acid liquid foods that cannot be effectively preserved using existing nonthermal technologies.
