Commtouch® (CTCH) Adds David Earhart to Board of Directors

Leading provider of Internet security technology and cloud-based services for vendors and service providers, Commtouch® announced the recruitment of David Earhart to its Board of Directors. Effective as of August 1, 2013. Earhart will serve as a member of the Compensation Committee and hold the position of chairman of the Audit Committee.

“David brings an extensive security, networking, storage, and systems management background and has a long track record of building high performing teams and scaling businesses,” commented Commtouch’s chairman of the board, Lior Samuelson. “We are very pleased to welcome him to the team.”

Earhart currently holds the title of senior vice president of CA Technologies’ North American Security business. Previously he spent seven years at BMC Software, where he held leadership roles in North American storage sales, regional management, and was part of the team that both developed and launched BMC’s Business Service Management strategy. Holding a variety of key executive positions, including two positions with venture-backed firms, Earhart will be a strong addition to Commtouch’s board. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Tech University.

Earhart will bring the Commtouch board of directors to a total of eight members, seven of which are non-employee directors. His appointment will fill the vacancy left by former board member Yair Shamir, who resigned in April to accept an employment position with the government of the State of Israel.
