Revolution Lighting Technologies, a leader in advanced LED lighting technology, recently revealed the company’s latest international retrofit installation project with Gasolineras Don Justo, a group of 11 gas stations and a subdivision of the largest gas station chain in Mexico. Gasolineras Don Justo is owned and operated by the Mexican government and has thousands of locations throughout the country.
Seesmart, a brand of Revolution Lightning, has completed installation of 16-watt LED canopy lights in the first of 11 stations to be retrofitted in Leon, Mexico. The initial installations have resulted in a 70 percent improvement in light output levels within the past month.
Providing a 50,000 hour life, Seesmart’s LED canopy lights deliver greater than 50 percent savings in energy consumption, while emitting no noise or UV emissions, with no flickering.
“We are thrilled with the improvements in light output and energy savings the Seesmart products have provided within just the first 30 days of use,” commented Gasolineras Don Justo station owner Juan C. Lomelian Albez. “Upgrading our stations with the energy efficient, LED lights not only help to reduce costs, but keep our customers safe with prolonged, vibrant light. We look forward to retrofitting our 10 additional gas stations in the coming months, and expanding the Seesmart LED installation to our regional group of 55 stations.”
Gas stations in Mexico, owned in groups of 50-60 locations by a few to several owners, are becoming increasingly aware of the cost benefits and overall improvements that LED lights have to offer.
