Geo Point Technologies announced that on July 2, 2013, it changed its name to RTS Oil Holdings Inc. and its common stock began trading under the new ticker symbol RTSO on the OTCBB. The company is an owner of a modern, environmentally friendly oil refinery in Karatau, Kazakhstan.
The name change is a result of the previously announced completion of the acquisition of RTS-Oil LLP. The company integrated RTS into Sinur-Oil LLP, which was acquired in 2010. Sinur’s main asset is the oil refinery in Karatau. Sinur has also been granted a general import/export license for oil and hydrocarbon products, which allows the company to broker refined products.
RTS-Oil specializes in wholesale and retail distribution of finished oil products in the southern region of Kazakhstan. This region includes the major population centers of Almaty, Jambyl, and Shynkent. RTS-Oil, in this region, has 20 gas stations and seven crude oil and fuel terminals. The company also owns or has long-term leases for fuel tank farms with total storage capacity of more than 11.8 million gallons of refined finished oil products such as diesel fuel and gasoline.
