In the announcement, the company noted that its CYB003 new chemical entity (“NCE”) could be an ideal investigational new drug (“IND”) candidate for a future clinical trial focused on AUD after preclinical data has been compiled and evaluated. Cybin is targeting an IND filing for CYB003 by the end of this year. AUD is a relapsing brain disorder often associated with an impaired ability to stop or control alcohol use despite adverse social, occupational or health consequences.
